The energy of your work

Don't we all love a good quiz? The internet is riddled with them and although I'd love for this to be connected online and output some fun thing at the end, but this is about as high tech as it gets:

Answer Yes or No for the following:

I feel a sense of accomplishment at the end of my workday.

I laughed today at work.

I feel like my energy is being invested well for the work I am doing day in and day out.

I can see the impact of the work I am doing.

I can see potential for growth in the work I do every day.

I can explain what I do to a 12 year old, and they understand what it is.

I have opportunity to apply my best skills day in and day out.

I believe in my companies mission or my mission.

I receive some enjoyment, stimulation, positive challenge, stretching (insert positive adjective here) at my job.

I can tell that my energy is in alignment with the things I do daily.

I feel excitement in my work day.

How did we do? Did you have more yes's than no's? Then you are likely on a good track. If not, it might be time to re-evaluate how you are expending your potential.

Take a look at the list below, have you told yourself any of these stories now or in the past?

I need healthcare benefits so I have to stay at this job.

I need to make x amount of money, to leave this job.

I'll never find the type of work I want to do in this region

I am too old to start over

I need to provide stability and so my options are limited

It's not reasonable to shift gears at this point.

I just need to work hard, and eventually it will pay off

It's only 40 hours a week.

I'll do what I want to do when I retire.

If recognized more than a couple of these in your language then you might be limiting your potential.

I've had the opportunity to meet with lots of people in my lifetime and when people are lined up well energetically with the work they do day in and day out it can be like a match made in heaven. Now don't get me wrong, not everyone has rosy days every day, but I see many people who limit their potential because of the story they tell about where they can allow themselves to be.

For the month of September I am offering a new service, called Lifepath Guidance. This service provides opportunities to explore where you are at. What is your story of how you got there. Applying several tools to do some safe exploration of what's possible, and re-writing your story that helps you line up with your highest potential.

The introductory rate is only available through the end of this month, so if you are curious reach out to me, I'm happy to have a phone call and explore if this is right for you.

More information here.

I'd love to connect and explore more:
